Hey! I'm Rach Jackson, an abstract artist from Learmonth, Victoria. I've been working as a full time artist for almost 3 years now- such a dream cometrue!
I've painted on and off for as long as I can remember but took what I thought was the more sensible route in careers for many years (as well as bringing up 2 children) before deciding to throw myself fully into my art.
My work has evolved drastically since then. From animal portraits to fluid art, I dabbled in a few styles before landing on abstract. My style has grown and is ever changing dpending on my surroundings and what I'm feeling inspired by.
Quirky shapes and vibrant colours are an integral part of my artworks. I love the challenge of balancing contrasting and clashing hues to bring together one big happy chaotic scene!
My current collection is heavily inspired by nature, in particular the many wild, wonderful and colourful blooms of an Australian springtime. I just love that time of year when everything is blooming - the colours and masses of flowers upon flowers lights me up! I love the joy it brings me and i like to translate that onto the canvas in a fun and cheerful abstract way.
